If you’ve ever said
“yeah, I love Fernet”
and then chased it with a beer…
This night is for you.
A bartenders-friendly-energy tasting where we stop pretending Fernet is just a punishment shot and actually break it down—aroma, bitterness, weird herbs you can’t name, and why every bar somehow agrees this is the handshake.
🍸 Bring a pay stub → get a FREE Fernet flight
(No résumé required. We can tell.)
This is not a class.
This is not a brand pitch.
This is a support group with glassware.
So… What Is Fernet?
Fernet is a very bitter, herbal Italian amaro.
It’s dark. It’s intense. It tastes like:
herbs you didn’t know existed
a forest after rain
medicine your nonna insisted would fix everything
And yes—people drink it on purpose.
Why Does It Taste Like That?
Fernet is made by infusing dozens of herbs, roots, spices, and botanicals (often including myrrh, saffron, chamomile, gentian, mint—plus secrets no one will admit to).
It’s:
Bitter
Earthy
Minty
Medicinal
Completely unapologetic
There is no fruit-forward moment.
There is no “easy finish.”
That is the point.
Why Do Bartenders Love It?
We don’t know.
