—Velvet Whip Arts & Social Club is an unique Arts & Social Club that offers its members a wide variety of social gathering and live performances experience inlcluding Salon Nights & Live performance.

The Symphony of Noise: When Loud Music Drowns Out Conversation

—Is the reason why Salon Nights exsist. No more strained vocal cords, instead you can converse, laugh and communicate with soft, atmospheric background music. Occasionally, Salon nights incorporate Jazz open mic, hosted by young musicians from Temple or UArts.

What Are the Live Performances?

—Weekly live entertainment including Jazz, Blues, Burlesque, classical, Musical Theater, comedy, open mic and more.

Where is Velvet Whip Located?

—VW is located near 11th & Vine Street in Center City, Philadelphia. Our exact address is only known to members and their guests of the club, or ticket holders to shows.

Is There Parking On Site?

—While there is no designated or assigned guest parking for VW, however there are ample parking options by the venue:

Metered/Street parking: Most available on Callowhill St, Vine St & Spring garden street.

Parking lots:

  • 1201 Vine St Parking

  • 1125 Vine St Parking

  • 1325 Vine St Parking

Do you serve food?

—While we do not have a kitchen, we do have a snacks menu. Members can always order from Wood Street Pizza with us and have it delivered to you within minutes.

We are also working with various of food truck vendors for future events, stay tuned.

3. Access to all FREE or COVERED Salon Nights (Some Salon Nights feature musicians that requires a small cover to support the artists. The cover can be paid on out website or at door.)

4. 10% Discounted event rental at Velvet Whip (contact VW to make inquiry.)

5. Access to members only exclusive shows (member’s exclusive events will be listed on our calendar and members will receive official invites to join)
