The Symphony of Noise: When Loud Music Drowns Out Conversation

—Is the reason why Salon Nights exsist. No more strained vocal cords, instead you can converse, laugh and communicate with soft, atmospheric background music. Occasionally, Salon nights incorporate Jazz open mic, hosted by young musicians from Temple or UArts.

What Are the Live Performances?

—Weekly live entertainment including Jazz, Blues, Burlesque, classical, Musical Theater, comedy, open mic and more.

Where is Velvet Whip Located?

—VW is located near 11th & Vine Street in Center City, Philadelphia. Our exact address is only known to members and their guests of the club, or ticket holders to shows.

Is There Parking On Site?

—While there is no designated or assigned guest parking for VW, however there are ample parking options by the venue:

Metered/Street parking: Most available on Callowhill St, Vine St & Spring garden street.

Parking lots:

  • 1325 Vine St Parking

Do you serve food?

—While we do not have a kitchen, we do have a snacks menu. Members can always order from Wood Street Pizza with us and have it delivered to you within minutes.

We are also working with various of food truck vendors for future events, stay tuned.
