Fabien Enger is a young French trumpet player and composer. Thanks to a Fulbright scholarship in 2022 and the Arnaud Roujou de Boubée award in 2023, he is currently pursuing his jazz studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA, where he has the privilege of learning from renowned professors such as Terell Stafford, Tim Warfield, John Swana, Bruce Barth, Dick Oatts, Justin Faulkner, and Tom Lawton. In addition to performing as a bandleader, Fabien has collaborated and played with notable musicians including Bobby Zankel, Nazir Ebo, Lee Smith, Sumi Tonooka (The Wonderful Sounds 5), Andy Emler (MegaOctet), Denis Badault (Orchestre National de Jazz), Théo Girard (Pensées Rotatives), Baptiste Herbin, Laurent Dehors (Ok Boomer), Julien Charlet, Yves Torchinsky and Misja Michel Fitzgerald. He has received various accolades both in Europe and the USA, including the Second Prize at the Inner Urge Music Competition 2022, "Outstanding Musicianship" at the Umbria Jazz / Berklee College of Music Clinics in Perugia, Italy, and selection for the inaugural edition of Footprints Europe, held in Lodz, Poland in 2021. Fabien Enger's new album, recorded in Philadelphia as a duo with pianist Justin Griggs and funded by a grant from Temple University (CPCA Vice Provost for the Arts Student Grant), will soon be released on the Inner Urge Records label based in Bari, Italy.
