Following our incredible Philadelphia premiere on 4.20.24, we're screening High and Dry for the second time ever in history to kick off our festival screenings! For those who missed us the first time around, those who recently discovered our work, and those who just want to see us again, we want all our supporters and artists to have the chance to smile and laugh at this crazy film. In addition, we are hosting a post-screening talk back with some of the key collaborators and creators on the film. If you're interested in discussing queer film with a bunch of queer filmmakers, please join us!

About the Artist
Founded by Sophie Stringer, Lysia Mogford and Roxy Geers and in collaboration with Brendan O'Brien, A Famous Studio dabbles in a little bit of everything. Our original trio met in undergraduate theatre school where they did everything from sketch comedy to Shakespeare. In school our professors always said, "if you don't see artists making things you want to see and be in, make it yourself". So we did just that, upon our graduation we teamed up with fellow alumni, and local producer and comedian extradordinaire, Brendan O'Brien, to break ground on our first short film and our first production as a team, High and Dry, written directed and starred in by our very own Sophie Stringer. Now, with a couple more productions under our belt and plenty more to come, we're excited to find new and exciting ways to entertain the masses.
