We’re bringing back our infamous poetry slam, with host Queen Phierce! 2-time One Night Stand Slam Champion and Philly’s hostess with the mostest!

Join us on Thursday, April 25th to kick off Philly Black Pride Weekend, the official start to Black Pride season. One Night Stand will start with open mic, move into our featured artists for the evening, and end with one person taking home the crown, bragging rights and $250 Grand prize as Philly Black Pride Slam Champion!!

For clarity:

• open mic: 5 minutes of stage time to share poetry, song, or comedy.

• Feature: a selected, predetermined artist chosen to perform a 15 minute set for the crowd.

• Slam: a 3 round competition of 8 or more poets, meeting specific parameters each round in order to advance.
