Future Funk & 'Dunk' Food NIGHT!

WHAT IS SAIKA MUSIC AND MANGA NIGHT?

Velvet Whip Arts & Social club does SALON NIGHT twice a month, with the hope to eventually to be twice a week in the coming year.

SAIKA Music and Manga nights are a recurring event of local DJs playing a rotation of music genres. Music and Manga night typically takes place every other month alongside SAIKA Manga Cafe nights which happens every second Thursday.

During SAIKA Music & Manga Night people can drink, play games, eat snacks, listen to music, participate in Saika Manga club or just vibe.

During the Lounge Night you can look forward to:

• Cocktail and Mocktails, Ramune, Tea and more drinks!

• FUTURE FUNK MUSIC & City Pop by DJ PLYNK

• 'Dunk' foods or any foods that are dunkable! Chips into Salsa, chicken nuggets into BBQ sauce and more possiblities!

• SAIKA MANGA LIBRARY (rent from the library or bring your own manga!)

WHAT IS FUTURE FUNK MUSIC?

Future Funk is a variant of the Vaporwave genre that has strong French-House and disco elements. Future Funk draws its visual aesthetic inspiration from 1980s anime, with references from Urusei Yatsura, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, and Sailor Moon.
