TRIO OF 3M’S
The 3M Trio brings together saxophonist Brian Morris with one of Philadelphia jazz’s most compelling family rhythm sections: acclaimed bassist Mike Boone and his son, drummer Mekhi Boone.
Their connection reaches far beyond the bandstand. Mike has served as both father and musical mentor to Mekhi, while Mekhi has developed into a distinctive young artist in his own right. Together, their bass-and-drum interplay carries an instinctive understanding—responsive, adventurous, and rooted in years of shared music-making.
Joined by Brian Morris on saxophone, the trio delivers an intimate evening of deep grooves, spontaneous conversation, and multigenerational jazz chemistry.
